About Us.
NWT. is lead by Anthony Dakhoul (B. Arch, M.Arch, Associate RAIA) who has practiced, for over a decade, in the fields of heritage management, historical architecture and architectural design. Anthony established NWT. in 2018 to merge his two passions, architecture and history, into a practice that celebrates and promotes the importance of both, in development and construction.
Throughout his career and as the principal heritage consultant at NWT, Anthony has worked with a wide range of clients on commercial, residential and construction projects in the public (local and State Government) and private sectors, including projects within the Sydney CBD, Western Sydney and throughout greater NSW.
Our Mission.
Promoting heritage as a project asset.
Heritage is often a key consideration in projects of all types. The presence of built heritage or historic elements in a site may, at first, be perceived as a negative financial, practical and design constraint.
The overarching mission of NWT. is to highlight to our clients the inherent, short and long term value of heritage as a pathway to better design and project outcomes.
So, in what ways can heritage benefit your project?
Heritage adds a unique and inherent character to any place making it more attractive to owners, buyers, users and the general public.
Character
Heritage can produce short and long term financial returns as commercially viable investment assets for owners.
Economic
Heritage often challenges a project team to find creative and interesting design solutions to integrate old with new.
Design
Retaining and integrating heritage improves sustainability and can reduce energy and construction costs.
Environmental
Heritage constraints on a project often lead to increased and more fruitful collaboration between all stakeholders.
Collaboration
Heritage adds value to communities who value them, maintaining a connection between the past and the present.
